I'm a Chicago-based brand strategist, personal brand photographer, coach, and artist. I've coached creatives and entrepreneurs for over 20 years.
I created Badassity Branding to support and empower coaches, consultants, and entrepreneurs to show up as the singular, vivid badass your clients know you are. This world Neds your gifts.
It's been a winding road for me. A keen student of all things human, I hold an A.M. degree in religion from the University of Chicago Divinity School. I've studied photography at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, coaching with ICF-certified Accomplishment Coaching, dramatic writing at Chicago Dramatists Workshop, and improvisational at the Second City Training Center.
I draw on all these disciplines and communities of meaning-making to draw out your singular brilliance and presence it to the world. As a brand illuminator I'm part fierce individualist daring you to be more you, part guardian-nurturer creating brave space, part clown-provocateur inviting you to come out and play, part philosopher of the heart exploring the depths of what it means to be human.
I live six blocks from Wrigley Field on the north side of Chicago and love to travel with my wife Rosalind for artistic inspiration.

A lifelong learner and observer, I draw inspiration from art, nature, and the fearless thinkers who question the status quo. When I'm not designing, I loves to explore gardens and parks with my kids (and our fluffy sidekick) or expand my worldview by listening to audiobooks.
